KITCHEN FUNDAMENTALS 101 – SALT FAT ACID HEAT

Samin Nosrat’s Kitchen secrets – the hands down summary of what every good cook needs to know – whether an absolute beginner or an experienced cook – you need to understand these four elements and how they affect the food you are cooking!

  • Wednesdays 8th – 29th August, 11am – 1pm

CURRIES, STIR FRYS & CONDIMENTS

Turn the heating up, fry up some spices, switch on the Bollywood sound track and transport yourself to the outskirts of Bombay, the depths of Delhi, the beaches and spice markets of Kerala or the mountains of Darjeeling.  By popular demand, curry in a hurry? All from scratch; No brainer condiments and some tips on a quick mid week stir fry!

The Art of Home Cooking

This 5 week cooking course is an excellent overview for beginners of the Art of Home Cooking.

Based on the Alice Waters recent MasterClass Series, this course introduces cooks to the concept of the importance and pleasure of home meals and dining, and shopping at Farmers Markets for the very best of seasonal produce.  The series of classes exposes you to a refreshing selection of seasonal ingredients and dishes.

Wednesdays, 14th November to 12th December, 11am – 1pm and 6.30 – 8.30pm

 

Kitchen Fundamentals 102 – Temperatures, Timings, and Knife Skills

This course follows on with the work of Samin Nosrat’s view of what all good cooks need to know.  This 4 week course is the perfect follow up to everything you learnt about Heat, Seasonings and Flavourings.  Refine your knowledge of cooking by understanding Precise and Imprecise timings and some basic knife skills and techniques.
